The environment problem is a political problem

Hi friends, today I’m gonna speak about a difficult world problem:  the environment and its preservation. Last century, with the big technology development, the earth has had a big global warming. Also a lot of animals have died because of the contamination in the sea and because of the forestation of the big forests and jungles for the last hundred years.

This is a problem which our modern society must resolve. The fundamental difficulty is to combine the development with the environment preservation. Personally I don’t do anything to preserve the environment, but I think that the common people can’t do anything to make the situation better because the ones to blame are the big businessmen and their big industries. Also we must see that most of pollution in the world comes from the developed countries of the north hemisphere. I spoke once with an environmental engineering student and he told me that the common people can do little to improve the situation.

There are people who say to us than we can do individual actions to improve the environment problem but the reality is that that is a lie.  The only way to change this situation is the political way. The environment problem is a political problem and the society must resolve it in this way. Our economical model must change to improve the environment situation because it is based on the overproduction. The society produces much more than we must to live and the worst of it is that the northern countries have almost everything and the southern countries have nothing.   

Finally I want to say something about the green organization like Greenpeace. I think that they fight only because they want to have their space clean.  They are not really worried about the future of the planet. Their actions are very selfish.

We must confront this problem as a political problem. This is the only way to resolve it, not among individual actions.

Education: a very good bussines

Hello everybody, today I am gonna write about a very important problem in our country: the education. I want to tell about my personal education story and then to do a comparison with the rest of the country.

My high school was a german school and it was a private school. I had the classic subjects and also I had german. I hated this subjects because it was very hard and we had 6 times for week. My school was a little anormal into the league of the german schools because it was in San Felipe and it was very worst than the rest of the schools of this league. Inspite of that my school was very better than the avarage of the country.

The teachers of my school were not so good, only one was really good teacher but the rest were people who had strings to pull. I think that they must to leave the school because almost everybody were very bad.

The technology was very good in my school. We had data in all the classrooms and also we had a very good library with a very modern interactive board. About that I can't complain because we had the best resourses to learn.   

My decision of to study sociology had not relation with my school because the most natural in my school is to study law, medicine or ingeniery but not sociology wich is a carrer that doesn't have a good salary. My school was a school for the elite and therefore you must to study a traditional carreer. But in one thing my school affected my decision: I must study in the university.

I think that the education is very unfair in this country. The most of people can't receive a good education and therefore they can't have good jobs and to have enough money to live dencently. The education must be good and for free for all the people. It is inadmissible that the most of people can't receive a good education and only a little group with a lot of money can have acces to good education. The authorities want to do a bussines with the education but that can't be. They want to earn money with the future of the people.


     
   

A group of students broke into the 13 channel

Hi friends, today I am gonna write about a piece of news that I read in the "El Ciudadano". I think that it is very important because it is related to the Mapuche problem. Yesterday 200 students of the University Alberto Hurtado broke into the 13 channel supporting the Mapuche hunger strike. Their purpose in the channel was to demand more coverage about the hunger strike. With this interruption the other channels arrived to the 13 channels to cover this event. Chilevision was the first that came to the television station. 

The president of the federation said that on Thursday there will be a march with a lot of organization: secundary students, universitary students, "Coordinadora de Organizaciones Autónomas Mapuche de Santiago", etc.  

My personal opinion is that the media represent the interests of the powerfull people on the world therefore they dont´t want to talk about the news concerning the Mapuche. The only way that the people have is to reverse this situation by pressing through the popular protest.

A thing that I find very relevant is that now students of a private University are participating in the discussion about the Mapuche problem and also they are supporting the mapuche cause. The mapuche are in hunger strike since 76 days and they need the support of citizenship to win in this difficult battle.

I have hope that this problem will have a good final to the Mapuche. The law is very unfair with the Mapuche, but the authorities and the media want to make us believe that the Mapuche are terrorists. The people must think on their own and the alternative media can help a lot in this work. We must support the alternative and communitary media!

A country I would like to visit

I really have a hard time deciding wich country because I want to visit many but if I to decide for one it will be South Africa, what I like most of it is the posibility to do a safari and know all kind of wild animals.

Other thoig that I am atracted to is exotic ambient and culture of this country because is completly diferent to the modern occidental culture even if this one has change a lot. The south african culture has been permeate this one but south africans have manage to keep along a log list of elements of their culture, It will be awesome to assist to the tipal parties of this country and try the tipal food. This for a lot of people it may be very disgusting and aberrant, but I think this is bacause of our occidental thinking.

Other thing that I like a lot of this country is the posibility to know the social differences of which the people are victims in this country.

The southafrican reality is one of the most extreme in the world, even that they have a lot of natural resources, they have a tremendous amount of poor people, and this is because of the resources goes to the rich people and is because of this that I like to work for a while in southafrica so I can help finish poverty and inequalities. However I would not like to be too much time because I like living in my country, maybe I can work 1 or 2 years over there.  

First Term: good and bad points

The last term was very busy because I did a lot of activities. I began with a friend the challenge of forming a band with latin rithyms. The original idea was making a fusion between rock and latin rithyms, for example rock with cuban son. We used a lot of of time in this project because firstly we had to create the music and also find the rest of the members of the band. Fortunataly the band is going very good.

Another project I began with my friends was the idea of creating a political group to do a lot of political activities. Our original idea was to do a study of the actual reality of Chile and after that choose a place which needs our help. The problem was that after a few discussions we saw that we have very strong political opinions and the group broke out. Now I am begining a new project with other friend and I hope that this time it works.  

At university level last term was a very important point because I finished the most difficult subjects and therefore I have more time to do my own projects.

The last term I didn't do any sport and I'm sorry that because when I was at school I was a sportsman. I like to do sport very much, but the last term I was very lazy.  The good side is that now I'm doing sport again. 

And basically that's all I did last term.
